The Luminary Award is present to people of Caribbean Heritage who made outstanding contributions in their respective fields. Introduced in 2006, Shaggy share such prestigious recognition with other receipients such as The Hon. Maurice Facey, Chairman of Pan-Jamaica Investment Trust Limited, Ambassador Peter King, Special Envoy of Jamaica, George Gobin, General Manager of Microsoft West Inidies and Dancia Penn, Deputy Govenor of the British Virgin Islands, retired University Chancellor Sir Shridath Ramphal, Sir Alister McIntyre and the late Professor the Hon. Rex Nettleford.

The face you make when your video becomes the first to be premiered to launch a Sony/Vevo effort on a giant ‘Sony’ monitor in Times Square.

Sony Rewards and Vevo introduced a new feature the FVL (First Video Live), Your First Look at the Newest Music Videos. This First View Live gives fans exclusive access all summer long. Sony, in partnership with Vevo, will premiere a new music video each week on the Sony Times Square billboard.
Other artistes immediately in line for video premiere are Ciara, Meghan Trainor, Future and Jordin Sparks to name a few.
