Jamaican base Reggae/Dancehall International Recording artiste Sean Paul emerged the winner of the 2013 Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) ‘Best Reggae Act.’ An award which the deejay will proudly add to his increasing collection of outstanding awards. These includes the 2004 Grammy Award ‘Best Reggae Album‘ for ‘Dutty Rock,’ 2006 American Music Award ‘Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist,’ 2005 and 2007 ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Music Award ‘Reggae Artist of the Year,’ International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) 2005 and 2004 ‘Special Community Award‘ and ‘Entertainer of the Year‘ respectively, 2003 MTV Europe ‘Best New Act of the Year,’ 2009 and 2012 Soul Train Music Award ‘Best Caribbean Performance‘ and ‘Best Reggae Artiste‘ respectively, 2003 Much Music Award ‘Best International Video,’ for Gimmie the Light, Source Awards 2003 ‘Dancehall/Reggae Album of the Year‘ for Dutty Rock and MOBO 2006-2009-2012/3 Best Reggae Act.
Sean Paul was not present to collect his fourth award but Reggae/Danceahall fans will always remember that day in history when he took Jamaican Dancehall music to higher heights, claim to fame the release of his, ‘Get Busy’ single taken from the 2002 Atlantic Records Duty Rock Platinum selling album. Sean Paul has been nominated for numerous other awards throughout his tenor more.
