Musical duo Wayne ‘Unga’ Thompson and Jason ‘Big boss’ Welsh of Notis Records formerly Notice Rockaz caught the eyes of the BBC 1Xtra and has done a series of recordings as part of an ongoing documentary chronicling noteworthy happenings in the Reggae and Dancehall sphere.
The record production duo is best known for landing hits with popular reggae/dancehall artistes such as Ding Dong and Chevaughn’s, ‘Holiday‘ track, Future Fambo’s ‘This Life‘ which was remixed featuring Mavado; and more recently Iba Mahr’s run-away hit, ‘Diamond Sox.‘ The two is also accredited with a Billboard Top 10 spot for their Heart and Soul rhythm featuring Busy Signal’s 2012 hit song, ‘Come Over’.
According to a release, a video encapsulating a buzz worthy live session featuring Producer/Drummer Unga and Bass Player Welsh among other instrumentalists, showcased a masterfully crafted piece of work now officially released on the BBC 1XTRA website. The eight-minute presentation features a live rendition of the duo’s first ever single entitled, ‘Rocky Road‘ which is also the first single off their Crossroads riddim featuring the likes of Jesse Royal, Kabaka Pyramid, Chevaughn and Bushman.
