For many years Jamaican-born entertainer Boss Champs has been hosting events in Hollywood where he resides and do business until he decided to launch his music career. He calls himself, the Caribbean Cassanova, a nickname he was given for his personality, he refuses to lock himself in on one genre of music but prefers to entertain his audience with storytelling, Caribbean and International relatable subjects and of course, more than likely for the ladies.
Since 2018, Boss Champs has been island hopping introducing his craft as well as meeting and greeting fans and folks. Recently, on a tour of Ghana in Africa with fellow entertainer Dilgin, Boss Champs spent precious moments meeting Ghanaians and would have gotten his greatest surprise from a performance at International Ghanaian artiste Stone Bwoy’s reggae concert held in the Grand Arena, in December 2022, when the audience sang word for word, the lyrics from his single ‘Like You.’ The immensely large crowd was seen and heard singing and interacting with the flamboyant entertainer from corner to corner of the huge arena, “if you love Jamaica say Bombxxxclaat” he shouted as the crowd cheerily holla the very words back at him.
In an interview on Suriname Radio 10 Magic, when asked how the song came about Boss Champs said, “Like You comes from finding someone you like, and want and alluding to the fact that this person is necessary for your life.” Other popular songs by Boss Champs are ‘Need Your Love,‘ ‘Control Freaks, ‘Mi Wan U,’ and the album ‘International Commodity,’ released in 2022.
