The event will be held Sunday April 28, 2012 at Hope Bay Beach, Hope Bay, Portland.
Organisers say, Dis Poem Word Festival is a “poetry festival,” looking for growth for poetry in general and one which they would like to have people from “all over the world” come see what the poets are doing in Jamaica.
The day long event is expected to run from 10am to 6p.m. and will present Mutabaruka, I-Wayne, Professor Carolyn Cooper, Cen C Love, Uprising Roots Band, Prof I, Abbebe, DYCR, Steppa, Jah9 and many more.
