Chartwise, singer/songwriter Inezi is positively impacting both Apple’s and iTunes charts respectively with various singles and riddim compilation albums. His Addis Record-produced singles, African Proverbs, Sorry Fah, Sorry Fah Dub mix and Rise entered and peaked in iTunes at #11, #12, #13 and #14 up to the end of February of 2023.

From April to November 2022, Inezi’s music entered and peaked in iTunes and Apple’s reggae charts respectively on reggae chart Japan, Kenya, Australia Austria, Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain and, the Netherlands. The Spanish Town-based singer also topped the iTunes UK Reggae Albums chart on the Miles Ahead Riddim and peaked at #5 on Australia’s reggae chart.

In other genres, Inezi has entered the Electronic Charts in collaboration with Rob ‘Pitch’ Ellis for his bass music album Reality Tunnels which peaked at #14 on Maccau, Electronic Albums Chart, on December 2, 2022. Inezi and Pitch’s single, Change is a Must, on the 10-track project according to the Pitchfork album review, aligns with the concept, of a portal in a specific corner of (Pitch’s) musical universe.

Inezi’s numbers are steadily growing on all fronts and he continues to build an impressive catalogue of reggae and roots reggae music. However, in a recent interview with Shrik Kotecha, he was quick to mention that although reggae music is his heartbeat he also enjoys recording other types of music. Chart Wise – Shaggy Pop Radio Chart Entry; Morgan Heritage Billboard Reggae Highlight

When you do something over and over its not by chance but by choice and, as in the case of Shaggy, not by choice but ability to accomplish good/great things.  Coming off the top 20 success of his last singles, “Only Love” and “I Need Your Love”, Diamond selling Grammy nominated and International recording artist Shaggy enters CHR/Top 40 Radio Pop chart at #50 with single “That Love” produced by Scott Stroch. The hard working Shaggy thanked his fans, “so blessed” he posted on IG “to be still doing my thing.” 

Meanwhile, after 29 weeks Sean Paul continues to ride the wave off his feature collab with Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” singles that now stands at #4 on Billboard Hot 100.

Reggae Morgan Heritage “Strictly Roots” album is the highlight of the week.  It has moved one place up from #6 last week to #5 and is the ‘greatest gainer’ this week after a whopping 40 weeks marathon on the chart.
Steven Marley’s “Fruit Of Life” album sits at #4 while The Journey” album by Gospel DJ Papa San hold down the #7 spot just 1 week after entering and Multiple Grammy winner Ziggy Marley sits at #8 for his album of the same name, “Ziggy Marley” 15 weeks after entering the chart.

Moving into Billboard Hot 100 Top 5 this week with “Lean On,” Major Lazer is trending along an impressive path stemming from a stellar 1400 spins on mediabase chart. OMI still sits pretty even though “Cheerleader” has moved to #2 on Billboard Hot 100.
