So Far, Bramma has performed on three separate gigs in Montreal before moving on to perform in Halifax, Ottawa, Ashowa, Winnepeg and Edmonton. “I have been waiting for an opportunity such as this for a long time and now that is has presented itself, the aim is to go for it and enjoy every moment of it and that is exactly what I am doing,” says Bramma. Nesbeth Headlines ‘Reggae in The Fall’
Full Effect Entertainment, a U.S. based company will be hosting an event entitled, Reggae In The Falls” on Sunday, October 24that a venue called Amvet which is located off Montgomery Streets in the city of Chicopee, Massachusetts.
Two summers ago, Nesbeth visited New York for the first time in his professional career to perform on billed events, Red Hot Boat Ride and Reggae Summerfest in Washington. When he got to New York he realized that his Boardhouse single produced by former Manager Flava McGregor had made such a positive impact on New Yorkers that it remained with them for years. Nesbeth never got an opportunity to make good of that opportunity and so upon discovering all this when he got there, made a spontaneous decision to remain in the city for two weeks to promote his new songs and network. He launched a brief promotional campaign that included live interviews on several radio and cable stations and a debut performance on the major Irie Jamborie 2009 concert held in Roy Wilkins Park. The timing seemed right because Nesbeth also made an appearance on the Rock with Squeeze show held at S.O.B and got a cover and centre spread feature in Gorgeous Magazine October issue. His aim then was consolidate the demand for live performances there in the future.
The recession has affected the local music industry immensely. Shows have been cancelled and for the few that braved the tough times, saw major reduction in the attendance at shows hence a huge blow to the industry in general. Nesbeth however remain optimistic despite the challenges and grateful for having being able to cash in on a few. His last international performance was Calgary International Reggae Festival, Canada in August and already has other pending U.S. performances coming up in November in Rhode Islands and Connecticut. For his Massachusetts appearance, Nesbeth will headline the first time Reggae In The Fall event and share stage with International artistes, JDX Crew (Freedomfighter, Payso and Uniqueshifan) and local entertainers, Jungleman, Kingflo, Dadre and Ysanne backed by Chosen Few Reggae Band.
