The Jamaican Reggae/Dancehall scene was really buzzing over the past week when the industry received shocking news of one its ace Dancehall artiste Busy Signals extradition request to the United States on drug charges. Busy Signal was arrested on his return to the island from Amsterdam. Meanwhile, Beenie Man publicly apologized to the gay community in a four minute long message. One Jamaican newspaper reported that a spokesperson for the Rototom Sunsplash Festival said, “Beenie Man’s Olive Branch to gays last week took incredible courage.” Meanwhile Beenie’s long time music rival Bounty Killer, does not believe his move is courageous. In a Blackberry messenger broadcast, Bounty Killer expressed that “we must just leave dem (Gays) alone unto God still and let peace reign” however he is not sorry “fi nothing that I said or song I’m sorry to know it offended anybody”. The 90s Mega Dancehall star asked, “when since a money control Jamaicans morals.” He said, “Gays must stop fight we music and we must leave Gays alone that’s it f#@ck apology”
